Tec Diving Bali - Diver and Pro level Tech Diver Courses

At this level of diving, who you choose as your instructor matters most. Please allow me to introduce you to our training philosophy here at Blue Season Bali. You will see that things are run a bit differently with our team.

Why is our training longer?

PADI Tec Training is gaining notice by experienced technical instructors all over the world. These new training programs allow for a lot of flexibility on the part of the instructor and are a great example of the evolution of PADI's world-class system of diver education. With the additional risks inherent in technical diving and the added task loading of due to more complex equipment, where and with whom you choose to train is of paramount importance. You should not be rushed through your techncial diver training. Most dive centers run the Tec40-50 program over 9 days. We run it in 12. Why? Completeness and thoroughness of training is absolutely vital at this level.

What makes a good tec diver?

Well, in a few short words: discipline, dedication and patience. If you have these traits, the rest can be learned. We will work with you to help you sharpen your technical diving skills, such as:

It is a fact that there are right ways to tec dive and wrong ways to tec dive. The simple truth is that if you aren't going to do it right, then don't do it at all. We are here to get you get started in the right direction. So, what should you be looking for in a technical instructor? Let's examine a good technical diving instructor.

What to look for in a technical diving instructor:
real tec diver
  1. All deco cylinders properly marked and carried on left side
  2. Deco bottles and regs stowed tidily - no clutter
  3. Long hose secured under canister light and clipped off when not in use (here, during real deco)
  4. Non-bungeed wing allows for perfect lateral balance; great for "all-left" configuration
  5. Backup LPI stowed disconnected, but in the appropriate place for accessibility
  6. Knees up, fins up. Good horizontal attitude in the water for effective decompression
  7. All deco bottles clipped properly for streamlining. You don't even see the fifth tank, but it's there ;)
  8. Photo taken on a recent technical wreck penetration and decompression dive. Choose an instructor who dives!
Check out the Stroke Parade for what NOT to do (and have a good laugh in the process!).

So, what's the point?

The point is clear. Not all technical diver training courses (nor their instructors) are necessarily equal. You need to spend time researching what you should get out of your technical diving education. Make sure your instructor is an active techncial diver using the most up-to-date equipment, philosophies and procedures. Anything less and you're selling yourself short. Given the increased risks of technical diving, you MUST make sure you are taught how to do it the right way!

That is our mission here at Blue Season Bali. We strive for excellence when it comes to conducting both training and non-training technical dives. Please let us know how we can help you realize your goals in technical diving with our fun technical diving programs or with our range of PADI technical diver training courses.
